PGN File NCC 2025 constructed
by the Webmaster, 29 August 2025
A PGN file of the 35th NATO Chess Championship has been constructed! The recorded games from the Lichess platform were compared with the original scoresheets. Many errors have been corrected in the PGN file. The following errors are most made:
After the game has been ended, the players were analyzing on the DGT board, forgetting that the 2 Kings have to put on the central squares to stop the recording.
After the game has been ended, a piece was put back at the original square, forgetting that the 2 Kings have to put on the central squares first. The DGT program has recorded the additional piece move.
After the game has been ended, the 2 Kings were not put at the central squares at the same time. The DGT program thinks that a king move has been made.
After the game has been ended, the 2 Kings were put at the wrong central squares at the same time, changing the result of the game.
The move to promote a pawn has not been correctly executed, resulting the DGT program to stop recording the rest of the moves.
