5th Joint EU and NATO online blitz tournament 18 Dec 2025

19 December 2025 - In this edition, there are many new players who add both depth and skill to the tournament. A lot of players from the Turkish NCC squad made their debut. Robert Stein managed to retain his title with 8.5 points. It was not easy this year. He got a worthy opponent this edition. IM Mark Timmermans is a new player of the Dutch NCC squad. In his country he is regarded as an expert in blitz chess and he also scored 8.5 points. The only draw was the game against Robert Stein. After 9 rounds, Robert had more tie break points, retaining his title. Daniel Michalski finished 3rd with 6.5 points. The general opinion of many participants is that the online blitz tournament contains lots of learning material.
