This country is the first of the 3 Baltic countries who participated in the NATO Chess Tournaments. Although it has a small Military Chess team, it showed that it was able to organize a NATO Chess Championship in 2011. This team has enthusiastic chess players who are able to take part in every NATO Chess Tournament, with the requirement that the travel costs should not be high.
